The Surprising Way You Can Search For Twitter Hashtags

Search in Mac OS X (command + space) and iOS (swipe down from home screen) is called Spotlight. Spotlight on Mac.   Nicole Nguyen / BuzzFeed Spotlight on iOS.   Did you know that you can search for Twitter hashtags and usernames in Spotlight?   Tapping on the results will take you right to the Twitter app. We didn’t either, until Twitter CEO Dick Costolo mentioned it during  Twitter’s most recent earnings call . He said: “And finally, we are also working with Apple to surface great Twitter content and accounts directly in Spotlight Search on iOS and OS X, that also makes it easier and quicker to find great things on Twitter.” When iOS 8 launched in Sept. 2014, an update to Spotlight included search beyond your files and contacts. सैन फ्रांसिस्को। माइक्रो ब्लॉगिंग वेबसाइट ट्विटर अब अपने नये और आकर्षक लुक के साथ जल्द ही लोगों के बीच आने वाला है। एसएमएस टेक्सट मैसेजों की कतार में ट्विटर भी वर्ष 2006 में एक नया क्रांति लेकर आया। 2013 में अब यह तस्वीरों का खजाना लेकर पब्लिक में आया है।  कंपनी ने मंगलवार को इसके नये लुक को लांच करने की घोषणा कर दी है। इसके टाइमलाइन पर अब विजुअल मीडिया के द्वारा सीधा इमेज व विडियो शेयरिंग आसान कर दिया गया है। पहले यूजर्स को ट्विट पर क्लिक करना होता था ताकि वे मल्टीमीडिया देख सकें। हालांकि यह बदलाव बेसिक मेकैनिक्स जैसे कंटेंट को किस तरह शेयर किया गया आदि पर प्रभाव नहीं डालेगा। स्मार्टफोन के आने से पहले अस्तित्व में आए इस ट्विटर ने पब्लिक के बीच एक क्रेज ला दिया था। कुछ हफ्तों में ट्विटर का यह नया रूप पब्लिक के बीच जाएगा।  अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति बराक ओबामा के ट्विटर अकाउंट से वर्ष 2012 में वहां हुए चुनाव की रात को भेजी गयी तस्वीर ट्विटर के इतिहास में अब तक सबसे ज्यादा फैलने वाली तस्वीर थी । तस्वीर में बराक ओबामा और मिशेल ओबामा थे और कैप्शन में मात्र ...

Twitter Is Launching Its Own Photosharing Service

Twitter has been completely emphatic about where developers should stake a claim, with Twitter Platform Lead Ryan Sarver warning the ecosystem to stay away from building “ client apps that mimic or reproduce the mainstream Twitter consumer client experience.”  Well if Sarver stays true to his word the Twitpics and Yfrogs of the world can just give it up now. According to multiple sources, Twitter is on the verge of announcing its own built in Twitpic competitor. Like tomorrow, if things go according to plan (naturally this post might change that). This shouldn’t really come as a surprise to anyone,  as photosharing is the next logical step of Twitter expanding its in app experience. It’s basically grabbing at low hanging fruit. Twitter is flinging money around; It just spent $40 million on power user client Tweetdeck which represents 13% of its userbase.
